About NEI 
NEI Annual President's Report 2005
Welcome to the website of Nurse Educators of Illinois. We have a new
name, but have been around for several years. Our main purposes are to
support registered professional nursing education in the state of Illinois.
We do this in a variety of ways including NCLEX-RN Review Courses, graduate
and undergraduate scholarships, and research scholarships. Every other
year we host an educational event designed for wide appeal to nurse educators.
Each year we also hold Round Tables in different geographic areas of
the state to allow for a sharing and brainstorming about issues that
face nurse educators.
Through reports from such organizations as the Illinois Association
of Colleges of Nursing and Illinois Coalition for Nursing Resources we
keep up to date on issues that may impact nursing education in the state
of Illinois. At times we may take a political stand on an issue.
Our goals for 2005 are to:
- increase membership by 25%.
- provide at least two roundtable events.
- continue to offer NCLEX-RN review courses.
- develop at least two newsletters.
We hope you will join us as we reach out to nurse educators about issues that our profession faces.
